FAHRE project presented at ISEKI Food 4 Meeting
28 May 2012
On 10th May, the FAHRE project – Food and Health Research in Europe, coordinated by SPI and supported by the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Union, was presented at the ISEKI Food 4 Meeting (Erasmus Network) which took place at the Biotechnology Institute in Porto.
This event gathered around 80 professors/researchers in the food area coming from several European countries, making it a unique opportunity to present the FAHRE project, which ended last April.
FAHRE aimed to increase the structuring of food and health research and support cooperation towards the European Research Area. During the 28 months of the project's operation, the project mapped these research activities at European level and analysed needs in this area, culminating in the development of strategic proposals to improve research coordination in these two fields.
