SPI participates in the 2012 Zhongguancun Annual Forum Held in Beijing

On 13 and 14 September the 2012 Zhongguancun Forum took place in Beijing. This high-level international summit is co-hosted by several institutions, such as the China Ministry of Science and Technology, the State Intellectual Property Right Office, the China Academy of Sciences, and the Beijing Municipal Government.
With the theme "Innovation and Development", the 2012 edition of the Forum was dedicated to "Scientific Innovation and Global Cooperation". Among the various topics covered were the impact of science and technology on our lives, international technology transfer and regional innovation, integration of culture in technology as well as financing of innovation for future technologies and elements to attract international talents.
Given her vast experience in the Chinese market, Dr. Sara Medina, Director of SPIís Board, was honorably invited to join the distinguished panel of speakers comprising representatives of large business groups, investors, politicians and officials from the Chinese government.
Sara Medina presented in her speech "The Role of Clusters in International Technology Transfer", providing a comprehensive view on the development of high-tech clusters in Europe and the potential for collaboration between them and China.
