Presentation of the Collective Efficiency Strategies – Clusters Typology Evaluation Study

On April 19th was the Auditorium of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa hosted the public presentation of the Collective Efficiency Strategies (CES) - Clusters Typology Evaluation Study.
This study aimed at encouraging a discussion around the importance and the future of public policy to support the processes of collective efficiency, in particular those relating to the clusters.
The presentation of the findings and recommendations was led by the Chairman of the Board of Sociedade Portuguese da Inovação, Augusto Medina, with the participation of Paulo Areosa Feio (QREN Observatory), Piedade Valente (COMPETE) and Franquelim Alves (Secretary of State for Entrepreneurship, Competitiveness and Innovation). The presentation session also featured Christian Ketels of the Harvard Business School and the Stockholm School of Economics, and Marc Pattinson of inno TSD, a leading European consulting firm in cluster policy. Both contributed to the discussion with international views on cluster development and their application to the Portuguese context.
The session was open to the general public and attended by more than 150 participants from diverse quadrants including cluster management entities, higher education institutions, R&D and technological assistance institutions, public administration institutions, among others.
