SPI supports technology-based companies’ development in Angola

25 June 2013

Under the ANGOLA TECH project, SPI carried out a mission to Luanda between 16 and 22 June 2013. During this mission SPI has visited different companies and other entities related to the technological environment of Angola’s economy.

The ANGOLA TECH project is part of a wider project - PALOPs TECH - conducted by SPI with the support of NSRF. This is a research project that has among its objectives to identify the critical success factors for technology-based SMEs acting PALOPs.

The project focuses on Small and Medium Enterprises which implement innovative technologies in their work. Based on the results obtained under the PALOPs TECH project a methodology for benchmarking the performance of this type of companies is proposed, aiming at creating new support services particularly suited to local realities.

In Angola, the project includes the participation of SINFIC a company with large deployment throughout Angola.
