SPI promotes cooperation between the European Union (EU) and the Pacific Region

18 October 2013

SPI has recently participated in the kick off meeting of a new project, PACE-Net Plus, in Noumea, New Caledonia. The PACE-Net Plus project is funded under the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission.

The meeting gathered 16 organizations from several European countries (Austria, France, Germany, UK, Netherlands, Portugal) and Pacific region (Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, French Polynesia, Samoa and Vanuatu) to discuss strategies to support the development of a Pacific-Europe network for science, technology and innovation.

This project demonstrates SPI´s growing interest and capacity in both Asia and Pacific regions, providing opportunities for the identification of new partners in the region, whilst also reinforcing SPI´s reputation as a knowledge management consultancy in the fields of Science, Technology and Innovation.
