InnoMatNet promotes networking in Materials and Design-driven Innovations in Guimarães

08 November 2013

The fifth event of the InnoMatNet project, coordinated by SPI, took place on the 31st of October 2013, at University of Minho, Guimarães, Portugal.

The workshop “Materials and Design-driven innovations for sustainable construction”, organized under the framework of the International Conference Portugal SB13, provided the necessary ecosystem for networking and promoting new alliances and collaborations between materials researchers and industrial entrepreneurs, considering in particular new opportunities at the European level for the upcoming years.

InnoMatNet - Networking of materials laboratories and innovation actors in various industrial sectors for product or process innovation, is a project funded by the European Union with the overall goal of promoting collaboration, knowledge transfer, and the creation of new alliances between materials researchers, designers in industry, and others involved in innovation. InnoMatNet will facilitate Europe with support mechanisms for the design, development and marketing of new processes and products using innovative and environmentally sustainable materials.
