Between the 22nd and the 25th of September, SPI participated in the EU-Brazil Technology and Innovation Forum & Tour of Brazil, which took place in Belém, State of Pará, Brazil. Encompassed in the EU project B.BICE+, whose objective is to enhance bilateral cooperation between Brazil and the EU, this event coincided with the XXIV ANPROTEC Seminar on Science Parks and Business Incubation.
The event gathered over forty participants, including companies, technology parks, business incubators, clusters, universities, research centres, and embassies, among others.
Represented by Dr. Sara Medina and Eng. João Medina, SPI participated as a discussant in the Round Table on Intellectual Property Management and Cooperation, focusing on the main challenges to promote a mutual understanding of the Intellectual Property Rights framework in Brazil, European Union Member States and the European Union itself. SPI also took part as a speaker in the session “Opportunities for Brazilian Innovation Actors Cooperation with Europe”, presenting the companies’ concrete experience with cooperation projects between Brazil and the EU in this area. Finally, SPI was also represented in the B2B encounters, which proved to be a good opportunity for developing contacts with other relevant actors in the research and innovation process in both Europe and Brazil, allowing SPI to enlarge its network contacts.
