SPI and a set of European partners are engaged in ACE – Accelerating Crossborder Engagement, a European project aiming to provide a customized approach to internationalization to more than 100 startups and SMEs in the ICT sector in order to ensure their rapid entry and growth in international markets.
In the scope of this project, SPI participated in the ACE Summit 2015, on March 18, in Milan. This event gathered entrepreneurs, investors, representatives of business innovation centers and incubators, and other partners of the project. It included company pitches to investors, investment readiness roundtables and various networking activities.
50 innovative ICT companies from all over Europe were selected to participate in the ACE Summit, having the opportunity to meet investors, mentors and potential partners from various European markets. The ACE Summit 2015 was inserted in the Global Entrepreneurship Congress (www.gec.co), which was held in Milan from 16 to 19 March, giving SPI the opportunity to participate in this global event dedicated to entrepreneurship. The Global Entrepreneurship Congress is an event that started in 2009 which aims to create an ecosystem integrating entrepreneurs from all over the world, promoting the best ideas and coming up with solution to their implementation.
ACE is a two-year project funded by the EU Seventh Framework Programme which involves 15 partners from 12 European countries, including incubators, clusters, living labs and business accelerators.
ACE will be continued through the new ACE Creative project. The opportunities to stimulate the international growth of creative industries driven by the ICT sector will be presented here.
