SPI participates as a full-partner in the Black Sea Horizon Project, which is funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 Programme. The project aims to contribute to the policy dialogue between the EU and the Black Sea Region and it also implements a series of concrete activities to address the specific goals set in the call for proposals. These two objectives need to be implemented in parallel, with the policy dialogue level providing guidance, support and endorsement of the project’s results, and with the operational level feeding the policy dialogue with analytical evidence and implementing the recommendations.
The consortium is composed by a total of 19 partners from several countries such as Armenia, Austria, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine. SPI has currently participated in two project meetings – one in Wien and one in Bucharest.
Under the project, SPI is mainly responsible for the work concerning Increasing Innovation Cooperation. In this sense, SPI will develop, among other activities, a report on guidelines for establishing, managing, sustaining and internationalising industrial clusters, develop a database of industrial clusters (already available in the project website) and organize a workshop in Kiev until the end of 2016.
