The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM - www.gemconsortium.org) is an annual evaluation of entrepreneurial activity, as well as the individual aspirations and challenges faced by entrepreneurs across a large number of countries/ regions. Currently, GEM is the largest study concerning dynamics of entrepreneurial activity in the world.
In 2012, after 2 years positive economic growth in the country and with an annual increase in GDP that almost reached 7%, GEM Angola 2012 found itself examining a new landscape, markedly different from that in 2010. Again the GEM project found particular relevance, since as information was produced, it was possible ensure that the support mechanisms for entrepreneurship in Angola were adapted to create a favourable environment for all economic activity in the country.
