From 22 to 24 October 2025, SPI, represented by Sara Medina, Ana Fernandes, and Tiara Amadea, took part in a series of events held in Brussels, Belgium, for the Africa–Europe Innovation Platform (AEIP) project, funded by Horizon Europe.

In parallel with the Econutri Consortium Meeting in Braga, Portugal, SPI organized a mission for the participating stakeholders to further explore Europe’s leading initiatives in sustainable agriculture and nutrient management.

SPI participated in the Conference – RIS3 Territorial Cooperation, Innovation and Smart Specialisation Strategies, which took place in Salamanca on 21 and 22 October. This event was organised by Fundación Rei Afonso Henriques, in partnership with CCDR Norte, CCDR Centro, Junta de Castilla y León, and the University of Salamanca.

SPI participated in Anuga 2025, held from 4–8 October in Cologne, Germany, as part of its continued collaboration with the South-East Asia (SEA) IP SME Helpdesk.

From 16 to 18 September 2025, SPI was in Bari, Italy, for the WINN-ORGANIC (Widening INNovations for ORGANIC food) Kick-Off Meeting, represented by Igor Lopes, Brimoresa Dhoro, and Matheus Avila.

A distinguished Nanoprogress cluster member, SPI, is actively involved in the GreenStep project, creating tangible opportunities for innovation and interregional growth.

From 22 to 24 September 2025, SPI participated in the official Kick-Off Meeting of the IMPACTING consortium, hosted by icipe in Nairobi, Kenya, in a hybrid format.

From 15 to 19 September, the AtlantECO Final Scientific Conference took place in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Azores, gathering researchers from Europe, America and Africa to share groundbreaking insights into Atlantic Ocean microbiomes, microplastics, and seascape connectivity.

On July 24, 2025, the Workshop on Blue Bioeconomy for young people brought together youth from the Associação de Solidariedade da Zona das Fontaínhas in Porto.
