The BlueMissionAA consortium held its 3rd Annual Meeting on October 29-30, 2024, at the University of Lisbon’s TTC Auditorium, with both in-person and online attendance. Hosted by the AIR Centre, the event brought together consortium partners to share insights, exchange ideas, and discuss upcoming project activities.
Representing SPI in Task 5.2, which focuses on Citizen Engagement and cross-fertilisation with Lighthouse CSAs, Diana Sousa, Septian Setiawan, and Ivan Sa Vieira presented SPI’s contributions to citizen engagement, highlighting their success in organizing co-creation sessions and regular citizen engagement campaigns across the Atlantic and Arctic basins. The SPI team also actively participated in sessions on ecosystem restoration, knowledge dissemination, and stakeholder communication, adding valuable insights to collaborative citizen engagement efforts.
The agenda featured interactive workshops on sustainable knowledge valorisation frameworks, cross-border restoration, and market readiness. The meeting outlined practical steps for advancing cross-border restoration and set the stage for long-term collaboration and impact in ecosystem restoration and citizen empowerment across the Atlantic and Arctic regions.
