On 14-16 March, SPI joined with BIC Africa in association with UNIDO in the Somali Boot Camp in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for participants from Somali business incubators. SPI staff included Douglas Thompson and Susana Seabra. The Boot Camp was designed to provide a deep dive into proven models on value propositions and strategies of setting up and running business incubators, and also how to design quality incubation curricula to better support entrepreneurs in their programmes, with a focus on Agribusiness and AgriTech business incubation.

The Somali business incubators will incorporate their learnings in the upcoming support to their entrepreneurs and Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in programmes funded by the European Union and implemented by UNIDO Somalia.
