SPI participated and co-organised the FOSTER Science-Policy Expert Panel Workshop and Project Meeting in Brussels on November 10-11, 2025.
The event brought together more than 30 participants, including project partners, members of the expert panel, and invited EU policy advisors.
The first day focused entirely on discussions about how FOSTER can contribute to advancing food system transformation by translating policy recommendations into practical solutions that can inform policymaking. These discussions were supported by the FOSTER Science-Policy Expert Panel, who moderated sessions and helped translate and shape project insights to policy advisors, inviting them to reflect on these messages in the context of ongoing EU policy priorities and SCAR activities.
The second day included the project meeting and several dedicated sessions featuring interactive activities and updates on upcoming tasks. These covered exploitation strategies, position and learning papers, and preparations for the next Summer School of FOSTER.
The SPI team was represented by Taisiia Bondarenko and Hugo Magalhães, who led the project’s exploitation session featuring an interactive communications exercise in breakout groups to frame the main project KERs.
