SPI represented at FutuRaM Consortium Meeting in Brussels

From November 26th to 28th, 2024, SPI participated in the FUTURAM Consortium Meeting, which was excellently hosted by VITO in Brussels. SPI leads WP7 – Communication, Dissemination, and Exploitation, with a strong emphasis on advancing exploitation activities to ensure the project’s outcomes are translated into meaningful, real-world impacts.

SPI Represents the South-East Asia IP SME Helpdesk at VDS+ Tech Event in Valencia

SPI, representing the South-East Asia IP SME Helpdesk (LinkedIn), recently participated in the VDS+ tech event (LinkedIn) held at the astonishing Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias from October 23-24. SPI consultant Ivan Sá Vieira engaged with a diverse range of start-ups, primarily from Valencia and surrounding regions, while also connecting with interesting SMEs from the Netherlands, Greece, and Portugal.

SPI Participates in SEHRENE Consortium Meeting in Granada

On October 2nd and 3rd, SPI took part in the SEHRENE consortium meeting held in Granada, Spain. The meeting brought together all project partners to review the progress of key work packages and plan the next steps in the development of the Electro-Thermal Energy Storage (ETES) system.

SPI joins the AtlantECO General Assembly in Vigo

Diana Silva and Ricardo Oliveira recently represented SPI at the AtlantECO General Assembly, held from September 16th to 21st in Vigo, Spain. AtlantECO, a Horizon 2020 initiative launched in 2020 and running until 2025, focuses on studying the Atlantic microbiome, plastic pollution, and seascape connectivity.

SPI’s country mission to Brazil, June 2024

SPI, a consortium partner of MSCAdvocacy, successfully carried out a mission in the two Brazilian cities of Brasília and Campinas from the 10th to the 14th of June 2024, to engage with stakeholders, promote the MSCA (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions) and explore prospects for collaboration in research and innovation in the country.

SPI Attends the CommuniCity Workshop and Training in Amsterdam

From June 25th to 28th, SPI participated in the CommuniCity Project General Assembly and Workshop Training held in Amsterdam. Ricardo Oliveira and Raquel Silva represented SPI as the Communication and Dissemination Task Leaders as part of Work Package 6.
The first day featured the project’s General Assembly, where each Work Package discussed the next steps in preparation for the project’s final and third open call.
On the second day, an internal workshop was held at the Culture Club, during which the Consortium introduced the new cities and challenges for the Third Open Call.

RESPONSE Consortium meeting in Zaragoza

The first day of the meeting started with welcome speeches by Miguel Angel Garcia Muro, Deputy of Digital Transformation of Zaragoza City (Area of Economy, Digital Transformation, and Transparency), and David Rodríguez Ochoa, Head of the Funding and Transfer Unit at CIRCE. It was followed by the Project Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting where each of the Work Packages and its development status was presented.

SPI participated in the SARASWATI 2.0 Consortium Meeting held in Sevilla, Spain, on May 28-29, 2024. This prestigious event brought together global experts and leading innovators in water technology to discuss groundbreaking advancements stemming from the project financed by European Commission and collaborative efforts in the field.

SPI attends MONTEVITIS Workshop and Consortium Meeting in Luxembourg

On June 11-13, 2024, Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação – SPI, joined the MONTEVITIS 3rd Workshop on “Regionality in adaptation measures in European viticulture”. The event took place in Luxembourg at the facilities of the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).
In the framework of the project, SPI leads the promotion of the communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities of MONTEVITIS and supports the strengthening of UDG’s administration and research management capacity in Work Package 4. Ricardo Oliveira and Valeriia Hudz represented SPI at both the workshop and consortium meetings.

Every electric or electronic product and battery not collected represents a missed opportunity. The materials in the WEEE that are not collected will not be available for manufacturing new products. New materials may have to be mined instead, which is a lot more damaging for biodiversity and the environment at large
