On 2–3 December, SPI showcased the FOSTER project at the Food 2030 Networks Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark!

The conference gathered a diverse range of European research and innovation initiatives focused on advancing sustainable, resilient, and inclusive food systems, offering a valuable forum for knowledge exchange and collaboration.

Within FOSTER, SPI leads the Engagement, Dissemination, and Exploitation activities and was represented by Taisiia Bondarenko, who contributed to the event by presenting a project poster. FOSTER’s presentation emphasised the project’s main objectives, methodological framework, and close cooperation with Change-Driven Initiatives (CDIs), highlighting its contribution to systemic transformation of food systems.
On 3rd of December, FOSTER also hosted a dedicated workshop focused on exploring the opportunities and challenges of applying food systems science and a food systems (FS) approach to support transformative governance and provide research-based advice to policymakers. The session brought together diverse stakeholders to reflect on how scientific knowledge can be more effectively translated into policy action at local, regional, national, and EU levels.

Overall, the conference provided an important opportunity for dialogue, networking, and strategic alignment, reinforcing FOSTER’s position within the European food systems research and innovation landscape.
