Re-Place Consortium Meeting and General Assembly

The Re-Place consortium held its General Assembly in Bamberg, Germany, on 27–28 March.

SPI, as the leader of WP8 (Dissemination, Communication, and Exploitation), participated in the event, which was hosted by the University of Bamberg. The agenda included presentations and discussions on the latest developments in the project. On the first day, a short workshop and breakout sessions were held regarding the activities in development under WP6: Mobility and Peripherality: Local Household Strategies. On the second day, SPI, together with IGOT, conducted a plenary session and a workshop on dissemination, communication, and visual methods.

The Re-Place project aims to mobilise participatory research in non-metropolitan left-behind areas (LBAs) to examine the impact of spatial (im)mobility on both origin and destination areas. It seeks to explore how mobility can be leveraged to foster alternative local development, cooperative human capital building, well-being, and sustainability across different contexts. The project will analyse the dual function of places as both origins and destinations, focusing on diverse forms of dwelling embedded in place.
