SPI was present at the Encontro Ciência 2024, represented by our consultant Maria Antónia Silva, in the WORLD CAFÉ: Let’s Talk About Horizon Europe session. This crucial event organized by ANI – Agência Nacional de Inovação, took place today at Alfândega do Porto (https://app.encontrociencia.pt/session-details/12141).
The European Framework Programme for R&I, Horizon Europe, is entering in a decisive phase of planning actions for the final triennium of funding (2025-2027). This session aimed to anticipate possible future scenarios that may be part of the next Framework Programme for the period 2028-2034 (FP10). The national R&I community plays a crucial role in this process, actively participating in defining funding models and instruments.
This open session invited the national community to explore and discuss current challenges and project a future that strengthens the national science and innovation system, highlighting the Portugal’s presence in the Framework Programme.
