Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação (SPI) organized the Argentinean Mission Under MSCAdvocacy
Between the 3rd and 7th of June 2024, the SPI team, under the MSCAdvocacy project funded under the Horizon Europe Programme of the European Commission, developed a mission to Argentina (Buenos Aires and Cordoba). The purpose of this mission was to engage with pivotal stakeholders, including government officials, policy makers, academia, research centers, and private organisations. The primary aim was to gain a comprehensive understanding of the implementation of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), explore the latest developments in national science and technology policies, and assess the promotion and utilization of opportunities offered under MSCA.
During the mission, the team held a series of strategic meetings, which proved to be crucial for delving into the successes and challenges associated with international researcher mobility. These discussions also provided a platform to explore collaborative approaches to overcoming these challenges. A central objective of the MSCAdvocacy initiative is to evaluate and enhance cooperation trends with local stakeholders, offering tailored support in designing and refining mechanisms for robust international research collaboration.
Moreover, the meetings were designed to bolster international networking efforts, with a specific focus on fostering stronger ties between research communities in Argentina and the European Union (EU). Through these efforts, the MSCAdvocacy team hopes to pave the way for sustained and meaningful collaboration that benefits researchers and institutions on both sides of the Atlantic.
