As a representative of the South-East Asia IP SME Helpdesk, SPI attended the Innovating Health Together (IHT) Conference: “Building Bridges in Europe and Beyond,” organized by Health Cluster Portugal. The event took place on October 15 and 16, 2024, at the Super Bock Arena Pavilhão Rosa Mota Congress Center in the city of Porto, Portugal.
SPI consultants, Igor Lopes and Brimoresa Dhoro, engaged and connected with start-ups and SMEs from Portugal and Spain. The conference featured a marketplace that brought together Testing and Experimentation Facility (TEF)-Health service providers. This unique platform allowed participants to connect with leading innovators and service providers in the health tech industry, fostering collaborations that could shape the future of healthcare.
Some of the participants expressed interest in exploring the Southeast Asian market to expand their businesses. SPI’s role at the IHT Conference was to promote the European Commission’s support services for the security of the intellectual property of European companies outside its borders, with a particular focus on South-East Asia.
