SPI attends MONTEVITIS Workshop and Consortium Meeting in Luxembourg
On June 11-13, 2024, Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação – SPI, joined the MONTEVITIS 3rd Workshop on “Regionality in adaptation measures in European viticulture”. The event took place in Luxembourg at the facilities of the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST).
In the framework of the project, SPI leads the promotion of the communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities of MONTEVITIS and supports the strengthening of UDG’s administration and research management capacity in Work Package 4. Ricardo Oliveira and Valeriia Hudz represented SPI at both the workshop and consortium meetings.
During the workshop, thematic seminars and presentations were held about Viticultural management and the industry adaptation to climate change. The meeting also included visits to the Schengen Museum and a tour of experimental vineyards in Remich at Institut Viti-Vinicole where current issues of vineyard management were discussed with the project’s researchers.
The Consortium Meeting was dedicated to the current progress of the work packages and a discussion of the next steps as the project is currently in the middle of its implementation.
MONTEVITIS is a 3-year Horizon Europe project, funded by the European Union that aims to promote networking between research institutes of the Western Balkan countries and top-class leading counterparts at the EU level, in precision viticulture and climate change.
