SPI at SPADE Consortium Meeting in Berlin: Progress and Planning for 2025

SPI represented by Telmo Fernandes, Septian Setiawan and Valeriia Hudz attended the SPADE project consortium at the Fraunhofer IPA in Berlin on December 18-19, 2024, to reflect on its achievements and plans for the next stages. The meeting brought together 21 partners from 10 European countries to review progress, discuss interim results, and plan future steps in advancing UAV technology for sustainable agriculture, forestry, and livestock management.

A highlight of the meeting was the groundwork laid for Open Call #2, with a dedicated session focusing on planning and review topics. SPI played a key role in these discussions, actively contributing to strategies for dissemination and communication. Leading the discussion on the organisation of hackathons and upcoming SPADE events.

The consortium also explored advancements in the SPADE platform, Digital Twins, and key working group sessions on topics ranging from platform connections to forestry applications and planting drones. These collaborative efforts are driving transformative innovation and ensuring impactful solutions for governance, accessibility, and sustainability.
