SPI Attends the CommuniCity Workshop and Training in Amsterdam
From June 25th to 28th, SPI participated in the CommuniCity Project General Assembly and Workshop Training held in Amsterdam. Ricardo Oliveira and Raquel Silva represented SPI as the Communication and Dissemination Task Leaders as part of Work Package 6.
The first day featured the project’s General Assembly, where each Work Package discussed the next steps in preparation for the project’s final and third open call.
On the second day, an internal workshop was held at the Culture Club, during which the Consortium introduced the new cities and challenges for the Third Open Call.
The third day, held at Amsterdam’s City Hall auditorium in Amstel, involved some of the new replicator cities, a presentation of challenges, and a training session on co-creation methods.
The fourth and final day included field visits to the Johan Cruijff Arena, a trip to Amsterdam Noord to visit the De Ceuvel project, a session at Marineterrein on a Responsible Sensing Lab and a tour of the Innovation Pavilion.
CommuniCity is a four-year Horizon Europe project that will implement over 100 innovative tech pilots to solve pressing urban challenges across Europe until August 2025. On September 10th, the project will launch its Third Open Call where tech providers will be invited by cities and NGOs to co-create tech solutions with marginalised communities.
