Raquel Silva participated in the EHHUR – Eyes Hearts Hands, Urban Revolution, General Assembly, held on the 11th and 12th of October 2023 in Rome, Italy.
EHHUR project is supported by the Horizon Europe Program within the NEB – New European Bauhaus methodology, having as objective an Inclusive, Beautiful, and Sustainable transformation of city landscapes in Europe. The Eyes Hearts Hands, Urban Revolution, approach is used in seven Lighthouse – LH districts experiencing different socio-economic and infrastructural challenges.
The General Assembly counted with the participation of representatives of the Portuguese Cluster of LH4 – Maia, composed by Maia Municipality – MMAIA, Espaço Municipal – EM, Porto Energy Agency – AdEPorto, Centre for New Energy Technologies – EDP NEW and Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação – SPI.
Besides an update on the progress within each Work Package – WP, the General Assembly was organized to have a dedicated interaction with each of the LHs, regarding the different aspects of the approach: social, financial, technical, feasibility dissemination and communication, key performance indicators assessment and evaluation, and digital and visualization. LH4 obtained a positive support for the work developed in Sobreiro neighborhood. At the end of the second day, a guided visit to LH7 – Nepi took place.
In addition to the General Assembly, on the 13th October 2023 an open public seminar was held, organized by Roma Tre University. An open discussion on ‘The challenges on Green Deal transition: climate-neutral cities and flagship EU Programs’ was motivated by the two panels of speakers, composed by representatives of related EU Programs’ and networks, regional administrators, and philanthropists.
