SPI joins the Understanding China conference in Brussels
Dr. Sara Medina from Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação (SPI), in representation of the EU SME Centre, an EU-funded initiative created to provide free first-line services to small and medium-sized businesses from EU Member States and SMP-participating countries, in which SPI is a partner, attended the Understanding China event, that took place on the 24th and 25th of October in the Hotel Renaissance in Brussels.
The event, organized by the EU SME Centre, focused on fostering a deeper understanding of China’s economic landscape and business opportunities for European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
On day one, the conference brought together EU policymakers, economists, industry experts, and think-tank analysts to discuss various facets of EU-China trade relations. They delved into topics such as China’s economic prospects, its policy landscape, and its effects on European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The second day of the conference featured sessions focusing on the unique challenges that SMEs encounter. The program also included presentations on safeguarding intellectual property rights (IPR) and exploring avenues for market entry. Real-world case studies of businesses already operating within the Chinese market provided valuable insights.
All contributions were instrumental in shedding light on various aspects of EU-China relations.
We would like to thank everyone who made this event possible.
