On December 6th, SPI conducted a workshop titled “How Internationalize to the USA”, which took place at SPI Porto in Portugal. The event focused on providing vital information for Portuguese companies interested in expanding to the competitive US market.
The workshop was provided within the context of ENRICH in the USA, a project funded by Horizon 2020 since 2017, dedicated to offering commercialization support services to European researchers, entrepreneurs, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with the goal of expanding their presence, fostering collaborations, and establishing new business partnerships in the USA.
The event covered key aspects of ENRICH in the USA such as insights into the US market, ENRICH in the USA services, available funding opportunities, soft-landing hubs, and the introduction of US Market Guides and Research Handbooks across various sectors. Francisco Rocha, Igor Lopes, and Ivan Sá Vieira explained the details to a diverse group of Portuguese companies from different sectors and locations, offering valuable guidance for their business expansion into the United States.
Furthermore, the event served as an excellent platform for participants to engage in networking opportunities with Latin American companies looking to extend their business operations into Europe. This interaction occurred as part of the European Entrepreneur Expedition that was taking place in Portugal and facilitated by ENRICH in LAC.
