SPI participation in Data Week Leipzig – Data-Driven Solutions for PEDs – SPARCS PROJECT – 17 and 18 April
The SPARCS consortium and ASCEND consortium conducted a two-day meeting hosted by Municipality of Leipzig, on April 17 and 18, 2024 in Germany.
SPARCS is a European Commission funded project under the Horizon 2020 programme and is working to create a network of Sustainable energy Positive & zero cARbon CommunitieS in two lighthouse and five fellow cities. The project supports these cities as they deal with the multifaceted challenges they face on their path to sustainability.
SPI as a partner of SPARCS project, attended a conference designed to bring together professionals from the fields of research, industry, and cities. The conference gave them a stage on which to demonstrate their creative approaches to developing and executing PEDs. The objective was to explore the difficulties that arose during the development and implementation phases in addition to recognising effective solutions.
The event was a side-event of Leipzig Data Week, that aimed to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange and critical discussions to propel the development and implementation of positive energy solutions into the future.
