SPI participation in the PREVENTABLE Project CONSORTIUM MEETING & GENERAL ASSEMBLY held by Institut d'Investigació Biomèdica de Girona (IDIBGI) on 27th-28th October 2023 in Girona, Spain.
Igor Lopes and Septian Setiawan represented SPI as the leader of WP6 in the recent Consortium Meeting & General Assembly held in Girona, Spain, from October 27th to October 28th, 2023. The main focus of the meeting was to ensure that the project stays in line with the deducted objectives to enhance the management of Rare Tumour Risk Syndromes (RTRS) healthcare by prioritising cost-effective prevention, conducting behavioural analysis of pathways of care for RTRS, and increasing visibility of RTRS care globally to the general public, general practitioners, and policy-makers.
The meeting focused on reporting progress achieved by the partners in all WPs and the roundtable workshops in the Rare Tumour Risk Syndromes (RTRS) Matrices and Clinical Procedures and Healthcare Expenditure. The consortium meeting was also a place to showcase the work done by the partners and principal investigators of each RTRS in the poster session, where it was also a moment to transfer knowledge.
In addition, the meeting featured a social activity covering a guided tour through the old city of Girona and a well-organised dinner to foster communication, strengthen teamwork and build trust among the partners.
The meeting concluded with a general assembly and steering committee to better understand the risks, obstacles, and plans for the project.
