SPI took part in a field mission to Cairo, Egypt, from 15 to 19 June to support the establishment of the EU Liaison Office (EU-LO) as well as provide internal training. EU-LO is an initiative aimed at strengthening research and innovation cooperation between Egypt and the European Union. SPI serves as the Communication and Visibility Expert, providing expertise and support in the development and implementation of communication and visibility activities.
During the mission, SPI delivered an internal training session on EU communication and visibility for staff from both the EU Liaison Office and the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR). The sessions focused on strengthening participants’ capacity to communicate and promote EU-funded research and innovation initiatives, particularly those linked to Horizon Europe.
SPI also participated in internal coordination meetings with the project team and representatives from the Egyptian MoHESR.
