The Honorable Consul General of Luxembourg in São Paulo, Brazil, visited SPI's office in the city of Porto
On the 14th of September, the Honorable Consul General of Luxembourg in São Paulo, Brazil, Jan Eichbaum, visited SPI’s office in Porto. The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the prospects that some Brazilian institutions and companies have to expand their work to Europe. SPI, with its vast experience in initiatives such as Horizon Europe or P2030, in addition to the wide range of scientific and social areas covered by a diverse group of the consultants, becomes a solid partner and a bridge between Latin America and Europe.
Within his agenda in Portugal, Consul Jan Eichbaum also visited the University of Aveiro for the PICTIS project (International Platform for Science, Technology and Innovation in Health), which provides for the installation of an international center for research, technological development and innovation in health and is to be installed in the Aveiro Science and Innovation Park.
This project is being carried out between the University of Aveiro (Portugal) and the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Brazil). It is, therefore, a great example of international cooperation for the Consul. In this meeting, he presented it to show the potential of mutual support in the implementation of scientific projects between Europe and Latin America, with successful and sustainable results in the long term and mutual benefits.
Finally, the meeting ended with a discussion on the ENRICH IN LAC and how its work, in which SPI has taken a key role, has enabled progress in building bridges between Latin American and European organisations. The participation and support of the Consulate General of Luxembourg in São Paulo of ENRICH IN BRAZIL was important and will serve to attract new members and help disseminate information about both work carried out and the positive results obtained.
