From 18–20 June 2025, Susana Seabra represented the EU SME Centre at the EBN Congress 2025, held in Barakaldo, Spain.

On June 1st, SPI participated in “Waves of Change – A Community Mural for Ocean Restoration”, an event held as part of this year’s Cork Harbour Festival.

On July 24, 2025, the Workshop on Blue Bioeconomy for young people brought together youth from the Associação de Solidariedade da Zona das Fontaínhas in Porto.

SPI participated in the Summer School of the FOSTER project that took place from May 20–23 in Sopron, Hungary. The event brought together 38 participants—including academic partners and CDIs (Change-Driven Initiatives) —to continue a collective journey toward transforming food systems.

SPI attended the 3rd Assembly Meeting and 4th Steering Committee Meeting of the GlycanTrigger project, held in Paris from May 14 to 15, 2025.

SPI was proud to participate at the MALDIBANK KoM, a ground-breaking project funded under the Horizon Europe programme.

SPI participated in Seafood Expo Global 2025, held in Barcelona from 6 to 8 May, as part of its role in the South-East Asia (SEA) IP SME Helpdesk initiative.

On 25 and 26 March 2025 SPI attended the Just Transition Helix Event & Transferability Workshop. This event was organized by the BOLSTER Project, in collaboration with Bankwatch, Crowdhelix, and Tilburg University. This interactive event aimed to turn theory into action

As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening international research and innovation between EU and AU partnerships, SPI took part in the 4th Workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Facilitating and Strengthening R&I at the Africa-Europe Interface, held on 15 April 2025 during GITEX Africa in Marrakech, Morocco.
