Sara Medina and Susana Seabra, in representation of SPI, travelled to Seoul to take part in the INPACE International Symposium on Digital Technologies and Policies: Supporting the Indo-Pacific-European Digital Partnerships, held in Daeyang AI Center, Sejong University, from the 21th to the 22th of October.

On February 10th 2024, SPI organised and participated in the Academic Training of COMFOCUS in Bologna, Italy. The event was hosted by the University of Bologna, Department of Agri-food Sciences and Technologies.

SPI was pleased to take part in the Kick-off meeting of E-SPFDigit Project, held from 8th to 9th October. The project aims to develop and scale AI-driven digital tools for real-time, onsite monitoring of chemical contaminants in viticulture and horticulture.

On October 2nd and 3rd, SPI took part in the SEHRENE consortium meeting held in Granada, Spain. The meeting brought together all project partners to review the progress of key work packages and plan the next steps in the development of the Electro-Thermal Energy Storage (ETES) system.

SPI is excited to announce its role in co-organizing the PREVENTABLE Project’s Midterm Conference and PrevenTalk 2, taking place on 3-4 October 2024 in Rouen, France, in collaboration with EHMA

On 27th September 2024, while representing SPI, Andre Almeida had the privilege of attending the ECONUTRI Stakeholder Event in Athens, which focused on advancing nature-based solutions for sustainable nutrient management in agriculture.

SPI, represented by Ricardo Oliveira, participated in the FoodTech Fair in Herning, Denmark, held from September 30th to October 2nd, 2024. As the premier event for food technology in the Nordic region

SPI recently participated in the final consortium meeting (10th September) and final conference (11th–12th September) of the Horizon 2020 initiative, SPARCS, in Espoo, Finland. SPI was represented by consultants Ivan Sá Vieira, Thiago Monteiro, and Nino Lima Gomes.

On the 25th of September 2024, SPI (Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação) actively participated in the Marine and Freshwater Restoration Initiatives Showcase organised by the Oceanic Platform of the Canary Islands (PLOCAN) in Gran Canaria

Diana Silva and Ricardo Oliveira recently represented SPI at the AtlantECO General Assembly, held from September 16th to 21st in Vigo, Spain. AtlantECO, a Horizon 2020 initiative launched in 2020 and running until 2025, focuses on studying the Atlantic microbiome, plastic pollution, and seascape connectivity.
